Metacognition

The students in Mrs. Cooper's intervention group practiced thinking about our thinking using our thought bubble. Working in pairs that include a reader and thinker the students are using metacognition!!!



Read to Self

The first graders have been hard at work building their stamina!! We have been choosing our own good fit books and practicing reading independently for longer periods of time!! We are working hard to become better readers and thinkers and to be better prepared for second grade! Ask your child about our "Read to Self" time!
