Literacy week: buddy reading

To celebrate literacy classes partnered with other grade levels to share books and read together. Mrs. Cooper's class shared their books and read with Miss Lewis's kindergarten class. The students really enjoyed showing off their reading skills and sharing books they are most interested in.

As a class we read Judy Blume's "Freckle Juice". The students really enjoyed the story! As a culminating activity the students wrote about their favorite part & also created some spectacular dioramas as a representation of their favorite part! Check them out...

Science: force and motion

The students discussed balance and gravity in order to determine: How does a "top" work?
