Ms. Ruiz

My name is Ms. Ruiz and I am so thrilled to be part of the Joyce Bullock first grade team! More importantly, I am ecstatic to be your teacher! It is going to be a fun year full of oodles of learning and new adventures. I can’t wait to see what the year has in store for us! I am so excited to learn all about you, but first I’m going to tell you a few things about me.

Teaching has always been very near and dear to my heart. I was inspired by my first grade teacher to pursue a career in education, which makes this year all the more special. As you will quickly learn, I am very enthusiastic and energetic. I am a University of Central Florida alumna (Go Knights!) with my degree in Elementary Education. I adore the color yellow (as you will quickly notice) because it represents positivity and happiness, which are two things I plan to fill our classroom with this year.

Have you heard how lucky you are this year? You’re not only getting one teacher, but rather, two! I will be team-teaching with Mrs. Bryant who is located next door. We are teaching departmentalized, which means that I will focus on math, science, and social studies, while Mrs. Bryant’s concentration will be language arts and reading. Mrs. Bryant and I already make a great team, and together, we will work diligently to make this a wonderful year!
